The
official Microsoft Remote Desktop Client (RDC) is supported only on
Macintosh OS X 10.2.8 and later.
1. Go
to the ThinHost
support site and download the
Remote Desktop Connection application.
2. Open
the file you downloaded, and it will expand itself into the Remote
Desktop Connection dmg file.
3.
Double-click the dmg to open the Remote Desktop
Connection icon.
4. Open
your Applications folder on your hard drive, and
drag the Remote Desktop Connection icon from the
dmg folder to your Applications folder.
5.
Double-click the Remote Desktop Connection
folder.
6. Open
the Remote Desktop Connection
application
7.
Select t he Options tab.
8.
Select the General tab and fill in the fields so
that they match the description below.
9. In
the Computer pull-down option, enter
[servername].thinhost.co.uk
10.
Select the Display tab.
11.
Choose whichever desktop size you prefer.
12. For
the Open Remote Display on option, select
Main Display.
13.
Limit your color depth to Thousands for
performance reasons.
14.
Select the Local Resources Tab and choose the
options you desire.
15.
Select the General tab, then select the
Save As button. Save the configuration to a
shortcut on the desktop so that it is easily accessible at any
time.
16. To
connect to ThinHost, select the Connect
button. |
