The ThinHost service incorporates comprehensive virus and
spam filtering which is managed by an independent firm on our
behalf - Email Systems
Ltd. All emails that come into ThinHost are first channeled
through Email
Systems where all viruses and spam are removed. The emails
then reach the ThinHost servers where additional scanning takes
place. As part of our email protection service we receive
information on the numbers of viruses, spam and legitimate emails
that are scanned and cleaned.
These statistics make for some interesting reading and give us an
insight into the types of email flying around the internet.
Note:
1. Almost 30% of emails are spam and are removed before reaching
our client inboxes.
2. Over 3% of incoming mail contained viruses that were detected
and removed.
